I think you're doing great with the stitching, if you've done a biscornu already. I made my first one last year, and I've been stitching for about 15 years! :-)

Hi... I've been to so many blogs this morning, I've quite forgotten whose blog I popped in from (lol). I'm also a new blogger as you can see if you drop by... Love "crafting" with my hands. Unfortunately cannot commit the kind of time I would love to put into this passion of mine ;-) Still, God is good and I've managed to juggle work and play.
